Samsung Washing Machine Help

I did originally post this in Chat but no one replied so thought I'd post here too as I'd appreciate any help or advice.

I bought a new Samsung (Series 5) autodose washing machine back in March and it doesn't seem to be cleaning the clothes very well. There is an unclean whiff more often than not and it's driving me mad.I usually use powder in the drawer but I've also added it to the drum or split between the drawer and drum. I've tried different liquids, scent beads, various fabric conditioners. At times I've added white vinegar or antibacterial stuff but nothing seems to work for long. I've also run empty hot washes or with 2 dishwasher tablets. I've also cleaned the filter but it's still not fresh smelling.

Has anyone else had a similar issue with a Samsung machine? I hate it.

Hello
I wish I hadn’t bought Samsung either. There’s no smell, but I didn’t realise when something goes wrong, you have to spend ninety minutes speaking to someone in the middle of the Pacific, only to be made to go through a series of ridiculous diagnostics. It’s practically impossible to get help. With regard to the smell, may sound silly, but do you close the door when the machine is not in use? I always leave the door of a washing machine ajar, because they do become smelly if the doors are shut.

Thanks for your response. Yes, the customer service isn't the best.

I do leave the door open as I know that can cause issues if left shut. It annoys me that it doesn't open wider to be honest. I'm starting to think that it's the pipework that's causing water to flow back to the machine and making the clothes smell. Everything else seems fine so its really puzzling.

Im the same bought brand new samsung wash 2 years ago and its done the same thing since, also ive noticed the gel tabs never seem to disolve and just end up with a clunk of gel at the bottom and sometimes in my clothes

I have an ecobubble one, assume it's the same? I love mine and have no issues. It cleans really well. I did stop using the cold wash though as sweaty smells were remaining. I use Ecover liquid if that's of any bearing.

Thanks for your replies, I appreciate it.

I did try a pod and found it didn't dissolve very well but I only used a 30° wash, maybe 40° would work better.
I'll probably never use the cold wash function but I will give the Ecover a go.

We've moved the hole for the drain so I'm really hoping that works and solves the issue.

Same here.
