While we've still got quite decent whether, I've been hellbent on putting my washing on the line until the weather gets too wet - HOWEVER, I've noticed that when they've dried and I've taken them off the line, my laundry ends up really stiff as if it's all been starched. I've tried using less product as I assumed perhaps it hadn't been rinsed properly but I'm ending up with the same result - has anyone else had this problem?

If you give it a good shake or iron it, it should soften off

Unforgettablefire · 05/09/2022 20:34

Yes! Doesn't bother me and the towels are great for exfoliating Grin

Mine too! I was glaring at my fabric softener the other day for contributing absolutely no softness. I thought maybe because I live in a hard water area? My towels in particular are like cardboard at the moment.

I put my towels in the tumble dryer to finish off drying for 3-4 mins, come up lovely and soft. Grin

I think it's just the way of things when air-drying. The good news is you can now save money by not buying fabric softener!

I'm in a really hard water area and add a scoop of soda crystals with the powder (lowish dose) then fabric conditioner.
Towels still a bit stiff but everything else fine.

Soda crystals here too - if you can catch things as soon as they're dry rather than leaving them baking in the sun, it helps.

I like a crispy towel
