Washing machine grey marks!

Please help me, I've Googled the whole Internet and I can't find an answer... ! I quite frequently get grey marks on clothes from my washing machine and can't understand why. My washing machine is less than a year old, but I used to also get it a bit on my old machine, and even in my last house! It's not a particular washing powder as I chop and change. It's an autodose machine which I've set on low and turned off softner. I run the drum clean when it says. I have 2 nursery school kids so do have some very dirty clothes but the marks seem to happen at random times. I'm at a loss!! Pics included. Thanks all

Do you give the door seal a good wipe round when you run a drum clean?

I think these ones are greese stains as I get them on my kids clothes as well. Gray lines that rub or wash away are from the door seal

Thanks for your help! Yes i do, but not after every wash. When I do wipe, sometimes it's a little mucky but when I've had a sock stuck in the seal any muck later washes out but these stains don't...

Thank you, yes I did wonder if they were grease but where from? The washing machine (which has had this problem since new) or the clothes themselves? Some clothes definitely aren't greasy and get them but maybe others are in the wash (who knows what that muck is sometimes!)🤔have you found a way to stop them?? Thanks!
