Delicates wash creases clothes. Do I need to use it?!

The delicates wash makes my clothes far more creased than the standard wash. I find that lots of clothes say on the label that they should be washed as delicates, even though they don't look particularly delicate. I wonder - would anything bad happen if I washed them on the standard wash?!

I don't really have any delicates, but I put bras with underwires in a mesh bag and put them in my normal 40deg 30 min wash. I've long given up trying to look after anything wool or silk - the risk of it ending up ruined is too high.

Thanks for the reply. I find that various normal tops, made of modal etc say wash on delicates!
