Welcome back NUT good to see you.

Luda glad the bird feeders were a success

Dd and I have just made some cup cakes and I've finally found my favourite oatmeal cookies recipe so will be making some of those later too

We've had supper - tuna wraps, they went down very well Dh will have to eat later cos he's out till late this eve.

Running the kids a bath now, planning an early night for them, both are v tired. I'll have their water for a bath once they're in bed.

PIL have rung to say they want to come at the weekend so I must make decent progress FLYwise tomorrow!

evening all

We are late in for dinner, as DS1 was a nightmare this PM. preschool came and he refused to do anything for them - he told them "I am not a performing monkey" .

Then we had to take back some jeans to marks and spencer. I asked him if he nbeeded the toilet - no. Then proceeded to wet himself. My mum was with us and was mortified, infact she was no use at all. que change of clothes and just a generally naughty boy - more so because he could see his grandma was sqirming.

She also gave me some money for their trust funds and general accounts.

Dinner is in the oven, Cod bites and waffles and the carrots in the steamer. 5 mins to dinner and then I think book and bed. They can miss bath tonight as they are swimming in the morning.

What a lovely welcome It's good to see you all too. I haven't been called 9NUT anywhere else on MN and I do like it!

I finished all the jobs on my list except mop the floor, which I do after DS is in bed anyway.

TheMadHouse I can't help but laugh at what your DS told his preschool (sorry!) He sounds a real character.

Welcome back NUT

Biscuit making was fun. DD2 loved it. Iced and decorated thm with DD1 after school. I had chocolate sprinkles all over the floor and icing dripped everywhere too!

Bianca Congrats to your friend.

I have to have a MASSIVE tidy up by 4pm friday. Finally got round to ringing the lady from greyhound trust about rehoming a Greyhound. She is coming out Friday at 4. I must make the house look fit for having a dog.

Any ideas for very cheap way to fence off the end of the garden? they won't rehome a greyhound unless the garden is secure, preferably with 6ft fencing! Its only a small bit that needs fencing!

9NUT Character is an understatement. He is headstrong and far too clever for his own good most fo the time.

It is funny though - they brought a wooden ELC jigsaw, which he refused to do, so got out his 24 peice Rory one and did that instead. The teacher asked himhis age, he told her is number is 2, then asked her what her number was. telling her that mummy's number is 34.

well the mini mads are in bed, washer is on and the ironing is still to do. A glass of baileys is calling instead and a chat and cuddle with DH

Tort No ideas re the dog, but shouldnt the HA deal with the fence???

Bianca I am soo with you would love more too.

I can not believe that by september 2010 both my boys will be in school.

Bianca - that's nice for your friend. What DC do you have? Glad you survived the dentist!

Tort - if your home is OK for four kids won't it be good enough for a dog?? Good luck though! I only have a goldfish so have no advice to offer.

I'm just so behind now with having had a day out today. The kids have been a handful this evening and I've spent too long on MN. Need to break down what I have to do so it's manageable. 1) clear kitchen 2)prep school bags 3)put DSs to bed.

I will try phoning HA but i am pretty sure any fencing has to be done by the tenant. Their precious funds you see.

Meant to add my other problem too but forgot!
Got a letter today from our Social worker about DD's contact with their Dad. It was being supervised by his parents but this letter says they can't supervise anymore.
SW is on annual leave this week and will contact me when she gets back.

Am a bit annoyed that she didn't phone me about this. Instead relying on royal mail to deliver! If i hadn't got the letter DD's would of been waiting Saturday for grandad to pick them up!
Now i don't know what will happen because he has to be supervised!

Janni but if i don't sort the house out, with 4 kids their won't be room for a big dog!
I have packet up my tortoise collection and taken down the shelf unit. Now have a big clear space! And a pile of books to put somewhere!!(They were on the bottom shelf)

jannai I have dd (almost 7 -, that sounds quite grown up!) and ds (4) Would love a third in many ways but we've moved past the baby stage and dh isn't v keen I am s l o w l y trying to get used to the idea that I won't do the whole baby thing again.

Tort good luck with the dog, I was wondering earlier what had happened about the other dog we talked about last week - felt for talking you out of it.

TMH the comment from your ds made me too!

I'm working on a story sack for the school so have various crafty things to do this eve and am quite enjoying it There are bits and pieces all over the living room floor though so it's not good for FLYing!

Bianca AFAIK the other person is having the dog. I haven't been told directly but not bothered about it now. Really want a nice, gentle, lazy greyhound.

Report
TheMadHouse · 22/01/2008 20:41

Tort is there such a thing as a lazy greyhound????

I thought they needed lots of walks etc

Report
tortoise · 22/01/2008 20:44

TMH No, no, no. Greyhounds do not like long walks. They are a dog which have a burst of speed to race. They lounge around the rest of the day!
My Mum has one. He is the laziest creature!

Hi Guys,

Nothing done today. DD2 only had 3 hours sleep. On a +ve note I got DD1s urine results today and the white blood cells weren't present. Also today is the first day in over a month she hasnt complained of tummy ache. I am hoping the last week of rest sciving from pre-school has helped her get a bit better.

I think if we ever got a dog, I'd want a greyhound, but as we can' really fit all the people in our family in this house, any dog is a bad idea No idea re cheap fencing Tortoise 9nut - lovely to see you back (I'm Jas btw with a new name)

Bianca - Glad it is all over. I hope you can take some comfort in the fact that you are not letting the anxiety control you, however hard things are.Well done you

FGS -Yay for good results. I hope it just clears up on its own....

EHM for poorly Ellie. I hope she feels better soon.

IndigoMoon Stop now (if you haven't already) and start a new day tomorow. We can' do all of it all the time.

TMH In Sep 2010 I will have one in Senior School and ds will be starting reception. That is going to be a big year for me I think!

Ruby - I had homework and housework this evening, but Bownies is tomorrow for me DD2 is getting enrolled tomorrow, so I need to sort out her uniform. I may even iron it!

Hello everyone else I hope you all had a good day.

DD working late so watched 'MISTRESSES' (at least I HOPE he's working late!!!) and finished writing out my new address book.
