Robot Vacuum

Hello

Would anybody be able to recommended (or suggest what to avoid) when it comes to robot vacuums?

I have a budget of around £250 and need something which does hard floors and carpets - mopping would be a bonus but not essential.

Thank you 🥰

Following... was just checking out reviews online and I'm now more confused. 😖

I've got a Eufy s11 (well two of them 😳 actually) my Dad has the Eufy 15. Mine is a basic model my Dad's is a bit more technical- it depends if you want cheap and cheerful I think the more expensive the Eufy the more it can do as a general rule of thumb.

Bumping as I want to know which is best

@Wheelyweddingwipedout I went for the Eufy X8, so far so good! It was a bit over my budget but Argos had £100 off and I used some Nectar points.

The app makes it really easy to use and you can control the level of suction so I turn it up for the carpets. It’s very clever.

Don’t get the mopping eufy. It’s crap. I love the normal eufy.

How on earth do they clean edges, corners, the bits around table legs etc?

Flopisfatteningbingforchristmas · 18/09/2022 16:54

They are good with table legs, go around in circles and they have a setting to do the edge of the room but there is a couple of mm in the corners they don’t get into.

I have a Roomba hoover robot which is fantastic (and my previous Roomba lasted about 11 years!) and a Roomba mop robot which is crap; it is ok for doing a quick wipe of the floor after hoovering for an extra clean floor, but it can't remove any ingrained dirt or stains or anything like that.

Robot Vacuum Cleaner with Mop... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09NPWVSYL?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I have this and it brilliant.

Quite tenacious in it's cleaning though, it will run over anything and tips the cats water over if I don't remember to pick it up! It has long bristles and gets under the skirting etc (as you'll find out when you go to pick the weird tumbleweed looking thing up and realise it's an old dead spider 😅) if your kickboards under your kitchen cupboards aren't secure, he'll get under there too.

As you can tell, I'm quite fond of the little guy, even though he's shut the back door on to me a couple of times and made me wait until he'd cleaned by the door before I dared trying to get back in. Easy to clean, easy to get going and he even takes himself back to be charged when he's ready. Goes well with a coffee machine, so you can sit down with a decent cuppa while he does all the work.
