Harissa Paste Stain - help!

VeronicaBeccabunga · 25/08/2022 09:15

I have spilled harissa dip on a t-shirt, needless to say a new t-shirt, and now it has an infuriating little orange splat on the front hem.

So far I have tried: Lakeland white paste cleaning stuff, Fairy Liquid, Ace stain remover on the stain and thrown in the wash.

Any suggestions for shifting it? Please?

Late last night I looked to see if I could replace the t-shirt, it was in a sale and is further reduced - but no longer available in my size.

If anyone wants a delicious dip/sauce to go with almost anything it's a dollop of harissa paste to swirled into a tub of sour cream, or some yoghurt. Half a jar of harissa freezes perfectly in its little glass jar for another time btw.

Don't spill it on anything though.....*sobs

Put it in the sun. Doesn’t need to be bright sunlight but might take a few days.

What colour t-shirt? Did you wear white while eating dip? Rookie error! 😂

If it is white, you're laughing. Just cold bleach then as PP suggested, line dry in the sun.

I will try this! Sod's law that it is, at long last, chucking it down here.

It has a white background but coloured stripes. I'm scheming some sort of delicate spot-bleaching with a cotton bud, wondering if I can mask off the coloured stripe with wax, like doing batik?
*channels a Repair Shop expert...

And stupid, greedy me for scoffing dip in a new top.
