What are these flies?

They’re fairly dopey but every time I think I’ve hoovered them all up there’s 10 more in their place! Does anyone know what attracts them / where they come from?

Drain flies maybe. Clean your sink/shower traps, etc

That’s psychodidae - drain flies - have you got any stagnant water around or a blocked drain or something?

Thanks both - don’t think there’s any stagnant water but the drainage is a bit of a nightmare as the previous owner was a bit of a bodge the builder amateur DIY nightmare…. Will try bleaching all the plug holes!

Maybe stick some soda crystals down the drains with some boiling water.
