How to sanitise a loaf sofa!

I’ve just bought a second hand loaf sofa. The easy peasy in house thatch fabric which I believe is linen viscose.

It’s not dirty or stained, just….. second hand, and as I’m slightly germaphobic….. would like to get it sanitised/freshened up

I’ve contacted a local company who’ve said this material can’t be steam cleaned .

what would others suggest? My friend has a carpet shampoo which has an upholstery attachment but am loath to use it if it’s going to get the sofa soggy or ruined

Any advice welcome!!!!

I'd use a bowl of warm water with a little non bio detergent and a white cloth.

I'd start on an inconspicuous part of the sofa and see how that works, making sure the cloth isn't saturated, just damp

Sometimes the simpler products bring up a sofa well

Thank you that’s not a bad idea
