Mud stain removal

Can anyone recommend any way to shift mud stains from white shorts? DC managed to fall over backwards into the one muddy area of a field.
Have brushed off the worst, rinsed, applied vanish bar, washed and resoaked in vanish but with little success. Shorts are tiedyed so can't bleach.

Doesn't Ariel turn mud covered T-shirts sparkly white AND they come out the machine dry and ironed?

Try the Pink Stuff spray!

I used to love Vanish but find Pink Stuff even better.👍
