Which cordless vac do you recommend please and why? I'm probably over thinking the decision but don't want to regret my choice. Thanks.

Do you need it for hard floor, or carpet or a mixture of both?

northernlass81 · 19/08/2022 08:03

I'd say mainly carpet, with a small kitchen with hard floor.

Dyson outsize. It’s brilliant.

Not a Shark. Does my head in. The pipe is always getting clogged and the bottom suction but needs to be dis-assembled and manually cleaned out once a week.

I always think "oooh I have 5 mins until xxx arrives, I'll just pop around with the Shark" but it's spewing things it sucks up back over the floor and needs a clean. Not what you want.

I agree our shark is terrible. We used to have a dyson and think will get another

Pixiedust1234 · 22/08/2022 16:33

Depends what you need it for. I had a Dyson pet one that refused to pick up bits of kitty litter but was fine for light fluff. That was a very expensive useless waste of money.

pressed too soon.

I bought a hoover pet cordless for a fraction of the price. Suction was strong enough to pick up kitty litter etc. Worth every penny. Can 9ny see the handle right now (decorating) but it has H-FREE 200 on it.

I have a shark and I love it, never had any issues with it spewing anything out or getting clogged, even though I have long hair that falls out a lot. It picks everything up beautifully.

I've had Dyson, then shark, and then back to Dyson - Dyson is so much lighter and portable. Will never have a shark again.

I had a Shark and yes , as soon as the bloody thing was switched off it spewed up a load of grit , had to hold it over the bin with the motor running .

I have a Halo Capsual , very light , rechargeable , has bags but I got 2 years worth when I bought it .

I've had the one cordless Dyson for years and years - it's a bit like Triggers Broom now in that I've replaced the battery and other bits but it's till going
