Cleaning stained toilet

Any ideas? I've tried normal bleach, toilet duck etc but the bottom of the toilet is still icky looking.

Distilled white vinegar and baking powder

The fun bit is using absorbent towels and cloths to remove the water, so that whatever you use can work better. For limescale, citric acid works a treat if scrubbed on neat and then fizzed up with boiling water and allowed to sit as long as possible.

Horrible job, but once done, maintenance is easy if cleaned regularly.

When I had a lot of limescale build up in the toilet the only thing that worked was rubbing it with a pumice stone 😩 horrible job but worked.

I had the same problem the only thing that worked with the Kilrock, liquid descaler, I bailed out the water in the bowl, poured with liquid in and used toilet tissue to hold the liquid in the scaled areas, left the loo for a couple of hours, it was all completely gone and stain free.

Black harpic leave overnight and scrub in the morning

Sounds a bit weird, but coke (Coca Cola). Has to be name brand and sugar version. Pour 1/2 litre in, let it soak overnight. Flush and scrub. Repeat as needed.

Side note, it's a great way to kick a soft drink habit; I used to love Diet Coke, and now I barely drink it!

Remove as much water as poss. Fill toilet with vinegar, any type will do. Leave for an hour or so and then scrub.

Denture cleaning tablets. Leave for ages, flush with boiling water. You’re loo will be pristine and your will not have to touch a toilet brush.

Another vote for black Harpic overnight then a good scrub in the morning.

Was about to say harpic works every time I wouldn’t bother with anything else
