Soft duvet cover help!

My lovely super soft duvet cover has come to the end 😔 it's 100% cotton so bought a new one but it was like sleeping under sandpaper! Washed it, tumble dried etc. has anyone got recommendations for a super soft duvet cover? Thinking dungeon is good?

Look for jersey ones, they’re so soft! Think ours is from John Lewis.

I have a lovely soft one from home bargains, plain white with a stripe pattern (think hotel), 300 count thread 100% cotton. Washes really well, and best of all only £30 for a super king-size. My far more expensive ones have been banished to the back of the cupboard.
