Fleas bites, pregnancy, any risk?

I live in the UK and have tons of flea bites, around 30. We are trying to get on top of the problem but I just wondered - are they any risk to me or my pregnancy? are diseases very unlikely in the UK?

We have someone coming to fog the house tomorrow. I'm again a little worried about the chemicals for the pregnancy and because of my toddler. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

I don’t think the bites will cause you any harm even if pregnant.
I once moved into a flat share and ended up with 96 flea bites! It was torture.

When we had the place treated the guy said “see you soon” as he left, which we thought was strange.
nope. Once the eggs that were still remaining in carpets/rugs/soft furnishings hatched we had to call again for a second treatment. Vile.

Do the company know you are pregnant? Maybe call and ask them to check that the treatment is safe so they don’t arrive, spend 2 hours liaising with HO, and then leave because they don’t have the info.

Have you now treated all pets?

Thanks for your reply @MumMumMumMumMum1

I mentioned I was pregnant and he said he's been using the product for 10 years and that it's safe. They said not to return for 5 hours, but I think me and my toddler will stay away for 24 hours just to be sure! Did you manage to get on top of it after the second go?!

Our dog as been out the house for a month and there's no way she's returning if she has fleas!
