Cleaning the slats on blinds.

I'm looking for tried and tested methods of cleaning blinds, without having to literally wipe every single slat with a damp cloth. I'm hoping there's an easier method?

I've seen the multi prong thingies at Argos and Amazon, do these actually work or are they a gimmick?

Looking forward to hearing your tips!

Hi op,
I bought one of those multi slat cleaner things, I thought it was useless tbh.
I've gone back to using a damp cloth, baby wipes are also good.

Hopefully someone else has a better idea!

I really hope someone comes along with tips! I have shutters in every window on the front of the house and they attract so much dust! I also have to clean each and every slat once a week.

I've never found an effective hack that actually works tbh, I'm in the once a week damp cloth club!

Take it off and dunk the entire thing in the bath.

We close the blinds each way and then wipe up and down, seems to be the quickest way to maintain but sometimes requires more in-depth cleaning if it’s particularly dirty

Put an old sock on your hand and wipe, yes you have to do each one but you get the top and bottom in one go.

I've tried all sorts of things but find tumble sryer sheets to be best.

Yes the multipronged things are rubbish I’m afraid. Wiping with a damp cloth seems to be the only way unfortunately.

Feather duster. Close the blinds one way, swipe over then close the other way and dust. Takes moments and the feathers pick up all the dust.

It was our independent blind fitter who suggested this and it works well.

I don't have blinds but what about a lambswool duster they are much better that feather dusters as they bukd up static to hold the dust.
