What has happened to my washing?!

Two of my favourite t shirts just came out of a delicate wash with grey droplet staining all around the collar! I’m so gutted. The rest of the wash was unscathed. Photo attached. Can they be saved?

I don't think the washing machine has 'caused' it, looks like a reaction with something.

hair oil? New hair product? Sweat? Moisturiser?

How clean is the seal on the washer door? - it looks like they have got caught up/pushed down the seal where 'gunk' can accumulate. Try washing again but give the door seal a wipe first.

Have you been using bubble mix? That can leave horrible grey stains that only appear after washing and never shift.

Nope no bubble mix. The only new thing is a new sun cream (altruist) but it wouldn’t have been anywhere near that area - only on my arms and I’m not sure I would have worn any with those clothes anyway.

I’ll have to check the seal. This isn’t the first time it has happened and it isn’t always in the neck area, but it’s the first time it’s been my nice clothes! Also I checked the entire load for marks or stains before the wash went on

Hmm my hair is longer than I usually have it, and I have been leaving it to dry naturally - maybe that has something to do with it…

THAT would explain why DDs shorts are ruined!!! Thank you!!!!
