Ughhhh Im post Covid, my brain is addled, keep putting ironing boards into my Amazon basket and then deleting because the reviews are rubbish.

I run a bed and breakfast and have managed for 5 years with a small board, do I need a giant £500 press, bigger board, new life?

Not sure why it's such a problem now but it is.

In your position I would be tempted to try a second hand rotary iron (new price too scary!) like this one:

or alternatively get the biggest ironing board (link below to size I have, which is pretty big) you can find and a great steam generator iron.

Non iron bedding.

Or use a hand held steamer when the bedding is ON the bed!. So easy....

MolliciousIntent · 28/07/2022 15:20

The solution is to not iron bedsheets. Why would you!?

fizzywat · 28/07/2022 15:22

Meant to say, my Mum never ironed bedding, but if someone was coming to stay she would do the pillowcases, and when the top sheet was turned down, would iron that bit whilst ON the bed. No one ever noticed.

I get it that you are in a different position, but do not kill yourself either!

Thanks for feedback @Transformatio that rotary iron is something else, too far for collection from here but I'll keep my eye out for a local one. I feel it would fix all my life problems.

I'd go for a hand held steamer

@Transformatio just purchased the larger version of your recommended board. Thank you!

Hope it works out well for you @stayathomegardener !

I’ve had one of those Miele rotary ironers in my imaginary dream lottery win laundry room for while now…not that I would be doing the ironing much under those circumstances!

Put a nice bedspread over the top

Hotenoughtoburnasausage · 29/07/2022 00:42

Iron right side top to bottom.
Quarter turn to the left and top to bottom again.
Repeat until all done.

Lenor crease release spray. It’s brilliant!
