just wondering if anyone on here works
in a nursery or playgroup and would know the best thing to use for cleaning toys. Need to have a good spring clean and give all my kids toys a good clean.

Used to work in a nursery and used Milton sterilising tablets or spray or we put them through the dishwasher if we could. Now have my own DC and use Milton to clean her toys too.

Steam cleaner or Milton

Soft toys (no batteries) in the washing machine.

Plastic toys (no batteries) in the dishwasher.

Everything else sprayed with disinfectant and wiped over with a warm damp cloth.

Soft toys in the washing machine
Plastic toys in the dishwasher
Smaller plastic toys like Lego soaked in Milton tablets
Everything else clean externally with Milton spray

Just wash plastic toys up with warm soapy water instead if no dishwasher, then soak in Milton if you want to be extra sure no nasties

Milton. Be careful with it though. I left a bottle on my wooden worktop three weeks ago. It was leaking and when I lifted it it had burnt through the worktop leaving gouges about 4mm deep
