I HATE cleaning. I absolutely hate it. Comes from a childhood of living in a house where we could barely set foot on the floor for fear of marking it.

I have trained myself and got better over the years. I declutter at least once a month so that there is less to clean. I try and make sure I wipe all the surfaces with a polishing cloth at least once a week to avoid the dust build up.
I've realised I am a little bit psycho weird about dirt/dirty water/dust/stuff in general so I wear rubber gloves to do all of this.
I hoover every day/two days due to very hairy dog. I have a Monica cupboard that gets emptied once every 6 months and it all goes to tip/charity/etc. I try and fit small jobs in like wiping the sides while I'm waiting for the kettle to boil, etc etc.

I need help with floor mopping. We have a wooden floor all through downstairs, oak engineered floorboard. Currently use mop and bucket. I just want something to make the job easier, I hate it so much so I don't do it enough and then it's harder everytime. If that makes sense.

Can you give me your recommendations for the best mop?

I had a steam mop years ago but ended up breaking it in half (I think I put too much pressure on it whilst trying to push it along the wooden floor?!!). Is mop and bucket the best way to go?

I use a flash 2 in 1 mop you out the floor cleaner in the actual mop and squirt it on the floor where you need it. No more lugging a bucket around. The floor mop heads are also machine washable so once you are done you can just pop them in the machine ready for next time. I have a large tiled area and mopping is not my favourite either I've found with this I can swap the heads when dirty and also refill the mop as I go. I do also have a robot mop - Braava Jet aka Connie - she's great to keep on top of things but I do like to do a flash mop once a week.

This is the one - I wouldn't buy from Amazon as this price is ridiculous- Dunelm, B and M, Wilko etc usually have it in for around £18.
