Are robot hoovers any good on carpets and rugs?

Most of my flat is carpet, although they kitchen has hard flooring vinyl stuff. I also have rugs in some rooms (low pile and some high pile).

I was wondering if the robot hoovers work ok on carpets or are they better on hard floor only??

Any brands suitable for carpeted areas that could be recommended (or best avoided!)?

We have wood, tiles, rugs, carpet and lino in our house and our robot hoover is brilliant on all of them. He sometimes has a little strop when he comes to our really thick pile rug/dog bed thing but other than that he's great. We've got a neato.

i have a Eufy. It’s fine on carpets but gets stuck on my thicker rugs so I have to fold them away.
