a dishwasher question :)

just bought a new dishwasher as mine was very old and not working very well. I always used the 3 in 1...4 in 1 tablets etc so never added rinse aid or salt.

However with this new one should i add a 'first dose' of salt and rinse aid. and then use the 4 in 1 tablets after??? i have got it right that i didn't need to add seperate salt and rinse aid after all this time whilst using the 4 in 1's?

I think all manufacturers state you still need salt even if using new fangled tablets that say you don't. If something goes wrong and you haven't been putting salt in they will invalidate your warrenty

I think you only need to add salt (when using the 4 in 1 tablets) if you are in a hard water area.

right i will add salt as i THINK i may be in a hard water area...and i DO NOT want my guarantee to be invalidated.
