Holy Washing Machine

T shirts always come out of our washing machine with tiny little holes near the bottom, around where your bellybutton would be, only on the front, never on the back. All other clothes are fine, kids t shirts are fine but it happens to all the adult t shirts, without fail. The washing machine is otherwise completely fine but it's costing us a fortune in t shirts! Anyone know what the problem could be?

Your t shirts are rubbing on trouser/jeans buttons, either when in the kitchen when they rub on the worktops or when you are wearing a seat belt in the car. Since I started putting my tops and r shirts over the seatbelt this has stopped!

So it's nothing to do with the washing machine? Thing is, we'll have a brand new t shirt and even after one wash, it will have holes in!

It can't be the washing machine, the location of the holes is too specific.
Are you wearing the T-shirts tucked into jeans? The back of the stud button above the zip can be quite sharp.

This is a known phenomena. As pp have said, it's seatbelt or kitchen work top running T-shirt against trouser button/buckle.

had this for a while, do up all bra straps and buttons / zips eg jeans before you put them in, turn inside out if you can.

Thought you were going to say it didn’t work on Sunday.
Very specific hole placement must be something other than washing machine surely.

get some net zip up wash bags put teeshirts in them
