Morning Guys.

I'm off to a pre-school committee meeting this morning and I have to phone Drs later about DD1s urine sample results.

DD1 is going to lunch at a friends though so it ill just be me and DD2 at lunchtime. I'll try and clear the rest of the bathroom then.

Morning routine is done.

TMH - glad you have had some more encouraging news about Lincoln.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all

I am taking the boys swimming by myself this morning so the plan is to get back, lunch (sausage casarole), then pop DS2 to bed, while me and DS1 have a shower.

Then I will move on to the mission and try and get the ironing done. I didnt get back in till late last night so no ironing for me.

FGS Hope that the urine is OK, how has her tummy been?

BiancaCastafiore · 16/01/2008 08:59

Morning FGS and thanks for the thread

TMH I'm pleased to hear the more positive news about Lincoln

I have ds at home today, very tired anad tearful so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to do between cuddles.

I did the childs room mission yesterday but could do the other part of the mission.

Better go and finish my morning routine. See you later x

Shannaratinger · 16/01/2008 09:38

TMH realy glad about the better news on Lincoln
Sausage casserole sounds really nice, could i please have the recipe.
Bianca hope ds is ok.

Have done the morning routine. DS is back in bed and dd is currently being a doctor with me as her patient

The course yesterday was very positive. We got given the following, thought it sounded very appropriate:

Ten Commandments for Reducing Stress

Thou shalt not be perfect nor even try.
Thou shalt not try to be all things to all people
Thou shalt leave undone the things that ought to be done
Thou shalt not spread thyself too thin
Thou shalt learn to say ?No?
Thou shalt make time for thyself
Thou shalt switch off and do nothing regularly
Thou shalt be boring, untidy and unattractive at Times
Thou shalt not feel guilty
Thou shalt not be thine own worst enemy.
It is put on my kitchen cupboard door to inspire me

We have the 'play and sign' this afternoon. My friend has very kindly offered to take dd to playschool in the car, so have no excuse not to do any FLYing today. Therefore I can see the window and dusting calling me.

Have a good day
BBL

TheMadHouse · 16/01/2008 09:45

Shanna Thanks for the inspirational words.

My counceller always says it is not about being a good mum, just a good enough mum

Sausage casarole.

I tend to brown off some good sausgaes and pop in the slow cooker with

onions or leeks
Turnip/swede
parsnips
carrots
tin of tomaotes or pasata
some herbs
water

and leave to cook.

You can add anything really, I also sometimes add a handful of red lentils, sweet potatoes is good in it too.

I serve it with mash mountain and something green!

You can do the same with some braising steak or stewing steak too - yum yum yum

ludaloo · 16/01/2008 09:48

Morning Everyone

Bianca Oh I hope DS is ok, big huggly day for you today! xx

TMH I am pleased you have some positive news on Lincoln too
And thank you...I would welcome any ideas for my gardening club. I have a term of activities to plan!

Bewilderbeast I'm sorry to hear you all have such horrid health problems, but it sounds good news for your DP at least. Take it easy I hope you have recovered from the dog incident...its awful isn't it...I hit a pheasent once, and apart from it denting the car, I was shaken for hours!

Shannar I like the ten commandments I'll be doing some of those today! Your course sounds very interesting, glad you enjoyed it. Enjoy your sign and play too!

Well DS and DD1 are safely off to school....they both have swimming today, which will be great for DD1 as she loves it but not so great for DS who hates it! I'll be suprised if they even get him in the pool TBH!
DD2 is eating muffins and watching the tv...so I should get on really. My morning routine is half done, so I will go and do the rest of it.

BBL xx

I'm frazzled! Got everything done but I feel like I've chased my tail all morning. I need to take it steady as I'm working this afternoon but I need to pop to the herbalist and get Ed some more Omega 3 and 6 pills

And I have a whole heap of washing to put away too. AGGGHHH

Work seems like a break TBH

Catych you all later x

Shannaratinger · 16/01/2008 10:08

TMH thanks for the recipe. Seems like onion and root veg form the basis for most nice winter meals. Really must invest in a slow cooker when we can find some cash (might ask mum and dad)
Luda muffins sound very tempting must find a recipe from somewhere, i am going to get soo fat.

Am now going to get the thigh trainer out.

Have done non cleaning jobs (online orders/bill payments/facebook etc all morning so although everything uptodate the house needs a serious sort out.. off to take dd to nursery so I'll have 2 clear hours to sort it (and not plonk my arse on the sofa)

BACK LATER !

FunkyGlassSlipper · 16/01/2008 12:28

Hi Guys

Regarding DD1s urine results GP said it is not a bacterial infection and that they have found white cells in her urine which needs further investigation. So we have to do another urine test and my mind is racing, and I am worried

OP posts:
gibberish · 16/01/2008 12:30

Oh fgs easy to say I know, but try not to worry. Did he give you any idea what they were looking for? And when you will hear?

gibberish · 16/01/2008 12:32

Has he already sent a sample away for it to be confirmed it isn't an infection?

FunkyGlassSlipper · 16/01/2008 12:33

Gibberish - last sample confirmed it is NOT a bacterial infection. He said that the white cells just needs to be investigated but he wouldnt commit to anything until we've done a 2nd test. I have to collect the bottle today or tomorrow and they'll send it off when I take it in. Results take about a week.

OP posts:
EHM · 16/01/2008 12:34

FGS I agree with gibberish try not to worry, easier said than done. Try to resist the urge to search on internet regarding syptoms etc.I've done this before its not good for your sanity How long will you have to wait? I am sure all will be fine.Give dd1 a big hug from Ellie.x

gibberish · 16/01/2008 12:35

Okay. Is she in pain and very unwell? Sorry, but have missed all of this.

ludaloo · 16/01/2008 12:35

I have spent most of the morning sorting the kids clothes out!
Started off with the mission, but soon realised all their drawers and wardrobe needed sorting.
A whole black bin liner from just DS's drawers alone of clothes that no longer fit or he just never wears for one reason or another! I have picked out some nice bits for my friend who has 4 DS, the rest can go to charity.
Another black bin liner full of DD1's clothes also that are too small/way to big/just never wears, which are all going to my friend who has 2 DD's (She'll hate me now as she'll have to sort all hers out too!)
I did DD2's drawers about 2 weeks ago, so she is all sorted anyway, and she has some of DD1's vests and a few tops. I am going to start potty training her very soon, so I have saved some of DD1's knickers for her to "practice" with!

I can't believe how much was just crammed in but too small or just never ever worn!
It has taken me a good couple of hours too!

All tidy and sorted now, which makes me emmensley! (very sad to be sooo happy about tidy wardrobes and drawers! )

It is a really sunny day today, its great! It makes me want to throw all the windows open, and hang all my washing out....except it is absolutely bloomin freezing so we shall have non of that!
Nice to see the sun never the less

ludaloo · 16/01/2008 12:37

Oh! Xposts with lots!!!

FGS I would try not to worry too. I have no idea what white blood cells are a sign of, but hopefully it won't be anything they can't treat (fingers crossed for you)
