Getting hair dye of white gloss units...help please!

Does anyone know a way to get permanent hair dye of white gloss units? I had covered the basin with an old towel but have somehow managed to get a bit of hair dye on the white gloss vanity unit beneath it. DH is not going to be happy. In the interests of marital harmony please help if you have any suggestions for getting it off!

Someone told me hairspray - they got dye from a light carpet .
With a gloss surface you'd need to do a patch test on a hidden area, but it might be worth a go if you have some there

Cif is great for removing stubborn marks, but it is also mildly abrasive, so be careful incase if scratches the high gloss coating. Have you tried nail polish remover? I think I would try that first.

Bleach is your friend here. I’ve literally just had to do this today. Needs leaving for 10mins or so. Don’t be alarmed if it turns pink that’s it just breaking down the pigment.

I used flash spray with bleach on walls that my son used felt tips on. It was matt paint though and not hair dye. My mum swears by a touch of bleach on gloss paint in the bathroom but please patch test.
