Recommendations for curtains and bedding

I'm helping to do up a small apartment on a budget - any advice on where to buy some nice bedding and curtains (just after simple chocolate brown ones, they don't need to be thick just decorative as there are blinds already)?

I had a look at Next Directory which had some nice ideas. I usually buy such things at John Lewis - but that is a bit out of budget for this.

Ikea/Next/Dunelm Mill - all have modern, neutral curtains for inexpensive prices.
Or La Rdeoute - their bedding stuff is nice but different - for some French chic.
