Hello again

Feeling pleased with myself as left the house to collect ds at 2.45 and stayed out (just pottering around the village) till we had to collect dd at 4.15 - didn't get home till about 10mins ago - minor perhaps but I was thinking while we were out that even as recently as the summer hols I wouldn't have felt like being out of the house in that way for so long
Just need to stay confident for a 40minute dentist appt next week - I am terrified! It's not the dentist that worries me at all (I like our dentist, she's really lovely) it's the being stuck in a chair with no escape for 40mins...plus I get this awful v&d once I get anxious so being stuck in a chair with someone fiddling in your mouth is a terrible experience if you're feeling nausious already! Good vibes please for my appt next week.

Had fun earlier chatting to Luda via the webcam we have found on my laptop Gave her a tour of my house lol!

Yadda Some good advice on the thread about your ds, I hope you find some answers soon x I've been struggling to hear in group situations recently too but haven't done anything about it yet so have been interested to read the thread.
EHM I've emailed you back
Janni I have one child who likes things just so and another who doesn't seem to notice mess! Very difficult to know how to train them isn't it? How old is your messy one?

Better go and get supper before ds starves, he's so hungry these days!

TheMadHouse · 15/01/2008 16:53

evening all

Thanks for the messages of support. I am going to drop the scrap book and stuff in tonight.

Janni, I am terrible when it comes to changing the beds, I hate changing them, but love clean sheets. With the boys beds I pop 2 bottom sheets and pillow cases on, as they need doing every other day and I just strip off the top and leave on the bottom one. He he he

FGS glad the hosp appt went well and an improvement is being made

ludaloo · 15/01/2008 17:19

I need a laptop with a webcam now, they are fab!!!
It was great fun chatting!

Well we are back from Gardening club, they did loveley scrapbooks.
We got soaking though as I had to park miles away from the house and it is tipping down!

How Do ALL and Hello to the *Newbies

Feel like I've done v little flying today. Did my morning routines, took Ed to school in the pouring rain, back again to pick up his pumps (I hadn't packed them and we both went in wellies) DH was a star, he came out of the house to meet us with them half way.

Went to town to post off 4 job apps and get 2 new back door keys cut (mine broke in the Yale yesterday teatime and DH had to come back and unlock the door) and then caught up with the culture share thing at the Town Hall. Went via Aldi to pick up bits for Ed's lunch boxes (cheese and fruit biscuits) and ended up with a bag full

Home, lunch, coffee, chill and then the Community Support Officerf comes by to help with the monitoring forms for the coffee morning group funding. Then Collect a very mucky Ed, Home again, strip him off in the kitchen, load the WM and run. Take him for a shower (he was filthy) Chat and jigsaws and books. He's playing Lego Star Wars on the Wii (Tort it's worth the money, get the DSes to ask for it for pressies) and I'm just catching up.

Must Say DH has been fab the last week. Scrummy meal at our very favourite place, home yesterday after the key broke and out in the rain with Ed's pumps. Complete star

I'm at work tomorrow afternoon so I better do loads tomorrow

Hope everyone is OK

DontDreamItBeIt · 15/01/2008 17:59

It just says session time expired.

DP is still working his way roud the house plastering so I'm doing alot of hoovering and tidying up, and most of the time you can't tell at the end of the day.

You lot do make me smile.

I am off to the hospital and then must do the ironing, so I bathed the monsters early and they are on the sofa with Daddy.

FGS DH had a lazy eye and had it operated on when he was 4 (37 years ago) only one optician has ever noticed. He still wears glasses, but only for his vision.

Luda regarding the gardening club, I will look for some ideas for you. DS1 grew cornflowers last year and they were great as were the sweet peas, as the more you cut the more flowers we got

Ruby I love that ideas. I keep in mind my perfect house and the only way that is ever going to happen is if we build it

BiancaCastafiore · 15/01/2008 18:17

Always such a shame to see a beautiful house like that in that sort of state MInd you, my parents house isn't far off I wish I could get my step-mother into FLYing but she's just not a houseworky type...

Feel better about my house fo rseeing that though - even the messy rooms aren't that bad

Snap Ruby that is why I like the Christmas trees as people tend to pop them in the window so you can see more. I am a house voyeur

I had a great walk last night too and from the PO - loved walking home peering into peoples houses
Can't imagine what that house was like before they tidied!
It has great potential for someone who can see beyond the stuff....

Hello allwhinge alert

I have been having an incredibly bad week this week, ds has had a fever of 39 since sunday, I've had about 4 hours sleep since then and am whacked. My mother who is ds's main daytime carer has a septic throat. DP went to the hospital this morning on the plus side good news he has regained 20% of his kidney function but will still be significantly ill from the gunk that its leaving in his blood until function gets back to 90%. But on the plus side we may now need to be able to avoid the op that would make him infertile. I'm off to the docs in the morning and the docs have said I can take ds with me for a quick check over. And to top it off I ran over someone's dog this evening, or rather it ran into my car on a 60 limit road, I was devestated, the owner was very understanding, was convinced it was not my fault (he saw the incident better than i did) and has sent me a text to say that the dog was ok, but I am still very shaken. So needless to say the flying has not been going well.

THM the scrapbook is a lovely idea, I keep thinking positive thoughts for L
GO its funny, when you talk about going to places I can now picture you going because I know where they are , hope the job interviews went ok

Done

dinner made and eaten
bin brought up from bottom of street
bread in breadmaker
washing up done and yesterdays put away
kitchen surfaces cleaned and sink shining(ish)

I had such good intentions for this evening but just really don't feel like it now
