My bathroom smells of biscuits...is it bugs?!

My bathroom suddenly smells really strongly of biscuits, like a digestive biscuit smells.

I've noticed some little brown beetles in my cupboards I keep toilet rolls recently, and I think they're Biscuit Beetles. We also have silverfish in there now and then.

But now the whole bathroom suddenly smells biscuity, even after I've cleaned it.

Can any bugs make that smell? Or something dead in the vents?

I live in a badly managed apartment block and there is now window in the bathroom, but it has an extractor vent leading into the main building vents.

Don't know anything about beetles etc ! Does someone you live with wear fake tan??? Because that has a biscuit smell to it sometimes.

I have always considered that smell to be due to a build up of skin cells/organic matter in carpets, soft furnishings etc.

OK I figured it out. It's my tumble dried towels. My tumble dryer is making everything smell like biscuits
