Many years ago I bought this from Lakeland , so I'm not sure of the name but I'll describe it :

Its a jar of clear , thick but malleable glue .
Bit like BlueTac but softer and clear .
It's for securing fragile things like glass or ornaments in a cabinet or shelf

Not sticky and it rolls off with no mark left .

I've tried white BlueTac before and it left a horrible sticky residue .
And there's the 3M stickies but they're very strong ( too strong for what I want )
Any suggestions what I can search for ?
TIA

Would Glue Dots work for what you’re doing? They peel off without residue and are strong enough to secure ornaments to shelves but not as industrially strong as stickies.

I haven't heard of this but will now look into it… I have been using a product called Tacky Wax in my dolls houses and miniature displays. It is a good product, but does occasionally leave marks on some surfaces.

It's called Museum Gel! Available from Amazon (don't know about Lakeland).
