How can I get all this fluff off my black cords?

They look bloomin' awful - it looks like they've been washed with loads of tissues. I can't wear them, they're that bad.

I've had a go with a clothes brush and sellotape but not hardcore enough. Is there anything else I can do or are they just bin fodder?

you could try a bic razor or some more industrial parcel tape/carpet tape.

lakeland do some good "sticky mitts" that are like industrial strengthy sellotape and usually get all fluff etc off

have you tried an actual clothes brush? I have used a pet brush previously, no it hadn't been used on the pets! and there are lots of hard bristles close together on those so they work well. like the old dressing table brushes, know which sort I mean? But ultimately any thing I can think of to sort out cords will be tedious! depends on how much you love them as to how much effort you want to put in! good luck!

wash and tumble dry them... tumble for ages with loads of them antistatic sheets in too.

try putting them on, easier with something ionside tghem to push against iyswim. put on a pair of rubber gloves, dampen the gloves slightely and rub over your trousers - the rubber seems to pick up the bits..

lint roller or dry cleaners.. was going to suggest sticky tape.

Blue Tak (sp?) works best for me

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone, I will try all of them and report back. They're the only smart -ish maternity trousers I have and I really need to wear them tomorrow...
