We used one recently and I honestly can't believe how dreadful they were. We paid upfront £19 per hour - the cleaner was new to the company and in 3 hours she only partially wiped the front of our kitchen cabinets, turned our island from shiny to smeary, vacuumed the kitchen and stairs and semi wiped some worktops. There are areas she said she cleaned which were literally untouched and I mean untouched. We provided tons of cleaning stuff, which she didn't even seem to use. She said she wouldn't need our (brand new) gloves - should have rung alarm bells! The company then basically ignored our feedback... dreadful. So are there decent companies out there that would cover Bristol? I thought I'd booked a local company but can see they are a national chain. Or are companies always going to be rubbish and do you find it's better to try and find one local person? We've had a lot going on recently and I would love to be able to book a cleaner occasionally - without it being a complete and utter waste of money!
