We think we have fleas 😭😱😭

We have a cat who is treated and wormed. But we got behind with treatment for a few weeks.

DH has seen 5 fleas dotted around the house. 4 bed.

Do you think we have an infestation? I've got bite marks 😭

Is there anyone with experience of this? Don't want to get pest control out yet because of cost but us there any home hack that does the trick?

Absolutely mortified 😭😭😭

Try not to worry too much. Obviously treat your cat. When we'd seen the odd flea and had bites on our legs, I used to buy some flea bombs. You have to leave the house while they take affect and then air on your return, but I do think they helped.

Indorex spray is excellent.

what flea treatment were you using?

once the cat is treated they do start "mopping up" any household fleas but it takes a while if you don't treat the house too.

If you have seen fleas, you probably have a population incubating. You need to vcuum thoroughly and regularly including edges, behind furniture etc. Empty into outside bin! Meanwhile, treat cat with something that will kill fleas that jump on - from memory some treatments just make them sterile. Essentially, you're trying to vacuum them up before they hatch and any you miss will bite the cat and die.
