Is this an iron burn? If so can it be saved?

I can't seem to capture a picture, but I have a red dress with a white floral pattern, and all the flowers on the middle front of the skirt are discoloured, sort of yellowy brown. It's quite subtle but noticeable as soon as I put it on. I'm pretty sure it wasn't stained last summer, and it's been in the wardrobe all winter, so I have a theory that our previous cleaner might have burned it with an iron at the end of last summer. Would that cause a brown discolouration? If so any tips for getting it out?

Normally in these situations I get creative with Dylon, but I do actually really like this dress as it is!

It could be something you spilled on it that has developed over time. Baby clothes for example do that. They look fine, then you get them out of storage and they have browny yellow stains on them.

Try washing it with a multi purpose stain remover spray/soak and then drying it in direct sunlight. The stain might come out.

Thanks Bertie - I was trying to work out if it could be that, I'm sure I'd have remembered if I'd dumped a coffee in my lap or anything as this dress is a real fave, but maybe I thought I'd got away with it and it slipped my mind.
