Blocked sink

The water in the kitchen sink is draining so slowly if at all. I've tried a mr muscle down there but to no avail. I'd rather not fork out for a plumber just yet. Any tips please ?!

Have you tired plunging it? Or opening it and seeing if blockage is in the trap just beneath sink?

Straighten out a metal clothes hanger (the type you get from the dry cleaners) and poke around in the drain.

Snap! Sink plunger to loosen blockage and bicarbonate of soda and vinegar to clear it. If that doesn't work, the 99p-from- Home-Bargains Sink and Drain Unblocker is much better than Mr Muscle although equally shit for the water course. A double dose will shift the toughest of blockages as it just dissolves everything.

Definitely a plunger . The best £4 I ever spent and so satisfying when it unblocks . Follow that with sink unblocker .

All sorted !! Some vigorous plunging and all is good !
