Oil based carpet stain

Hi,
When I was pregnant I used a stretch mark oil and it splashed on my carpet. I have a Vax and have tried bicarbonate of soda and vanish and nothing has worked. Any tips?

Maybe the elbow grease spray, it can be used on anything and worked with a greasy mark on my jumper.
fairy liquid should break it down also and blot it dry.

Yes to dish washing liquid - but choose a clear one rather rather than green (or orange, blue, pink etc). Shampoo could also work.
