washing machine symbols worn off

Hey all, the numbers/symbols on/around our washing machine dial are wearing away and a couple are almost gone. The machine is black with white numbers. Can anyone recommend a pen of some kind that I could use to write them back on and they wouldn't wear off?

We rent and have a bit of an absent LL so I can't make big changes but they also would not want to know!

Silver sharpie?

Sharpie and write the make/model down so you can Google if needed.

google the make/model and print out the display and tape it to the door for reference.
