Sticky kitchen cupboards

The inside of the cupboards, at the bottom, is sticky even after a scrub with washing up liquid. What will get it off ?

Elbow Grease (the product, not the method!)

Sugar soap. You can buy it in a spray bottle, rather than mix it up yourself. I get it in the DIY aisle of Tesco.
