My house is a shit tip everywhere I look

So we've got family coming tomorrow for Easter lunch and a few family members are staying over. Im getting really stressed out because my house is a shit tip everywhere and I don't know why? I tidy up every evening but somehow it still doesn't look like I've even made an effort.
I have a 3 year old and a 2 month old so have struggled to get much done in the daytime, but I've cleaned the downstairs loo yesterday and dusted the lounge. What should I aim to get done tonight do you think as a priority? I do my best to stay on top of it but it feels like I never make a dent these days and I don't want anyone to judge 🙁

Clean the room they’re staying in and the bathroom they’re using.
And the kitchen.

First off get out of my house. Grin

You have two small children. You have done your best. If they judge you for a bit of mess and dust they can fuck right off.

They will just be very grateful that you have pulled this off surely. Cut yourself some slack!

If you can, move stuff out of the way. Put in in a big cardboard box or an ikea bag and move it out of the way if you can.
I find that having clear table tops really help. The same goes for any horizontal surface, ie kitchen tops, chest of drawers.
Also, remember you have a tiny baby so you can be expected to have a showcase home!

The second paragraph is the answer to the first paragraph- two small children will do that to a home.

Clear worktops, hoover and mop floors, put any washing away. Everything always feels clearer with clean floors.
