Decluttering cleaning products

Anyone have a cupboard over flowing with cleaning stuff. Im gonna stop buying it now and use up what I have. Why do we feel the need to have 5 bottles of kitchen cleaning spray that all do the same thing but smell different. Think I would probably only need about 10 cleaning products total for the whole house if I get threw it all. Time to de clutter. I dont hoard anything else just cleaning stuff anyone else the same?

I used to but then unfollowed a lot of insta accounts that encourage it.
Now I think all those bottles of products could be money in your pocket. That mindset helps me massively

Yes I agree dont follow them now. Theres no need to have loads of stuff.

I did this, so now only have my preferred thing per job. I have never been able to get on board with "vinegar, elbow grease and a bit of bicarb" so am not as minimalist as i could be, but I have as multi-purpose spray for surfaces, a floor cleaner, a bathroom cleaner, my trusty Viakal, loo stuff and I use washing up liquid and hot water for as much as possible.

I’m not a big cleaner in my own house but worked many summers cleaning hotel rooms. The other day I bought a carrier for cleaner, clothes etc so everything is now all together in the shower room for when I need it.

I need to do this! A tomorrow job.

I dealt with this "affliction" years ago. I'm a clean freak, although definitely not compulsive, but I had started to buy WAY more cleaning products than any person needs. I gave my head a wobble and got it under control.

Yup, this is me. I'm a sucker for a new product, really need to reign it in and use up what I've got.

I use a spray made from 50/50 washing up liquid and vinegar or just a cloth and hot soapy water for 90% of cleaning. The other stuff I like on hand is bio washing power for anything that needs more than washing up liquid such as floors that have been left too long, brillo pads, some cheap salt or pink stuff as an abrasive and Method glass cleaner for screens etc. Don't use bleach, but have some Harpic in black bottle and Kilrock gel for limescale.

I could have written your post op. My house should be sparkling because of the massive corner cupboard filled with stuff. I too like different scents of things.

I have now got my preferred products - method glass cleaner, pink stuff paste, orange fairy liquid, viakal and method polish. Im hoping to use up the other stuff but the thing is I want to use my favourites as they're the ones I like!

I have bought a caddy for upstairs which is great for bathrooms and has really made giving a quick clean much easier.

May e we should have a cleaning product amnesty like those knife amnesties ?
