What do I do - DS2 wet the bed - on my brand new feather matress topper

He got into bed with me last night and at about 6 woke up and said why is the bed wet mummy. He hadn't done alot but it has gone through to my brand new feather mattress topper (my Christmas present to myself).

He is 6 and rarely wets the bed so I thought it would be OK. Plus it defeats the objectif you put a plastic sheet on top of the lovely soft feather bed.

I immediately stripped the bed, dabbed the offending area with water and then sprayed febreze on the area.

And have left it to dry while I am work. What do you think. Will it smell bad or should it be OK. is there anything else I can do to remedy the situation.

You can wash and dry feathers but you have to keep moving the feathers about or they clump together and go mouldy so be careful!

I don't know if it'll work but lemon juice and water neutralised the smell when my daugher wet her mattress once.
