Bah!

I got an ipod for xmas... cleaning is sooooooooooooo good with it on loud

DH is less impressed, what with the loud singing that accompanies it

calzone · 07/01/2008 11:27

I was the same but DS1 is ill with a virus and I was sooo excited about him going back to school!

I am still in PJs and Mumsnetting!

My house is gleaming.

I am sat here in a polished mire of smugness at how shiny everything is.

I dare someone to come and suggest something in my house that is not worthy of Aggie to come and run her finger across. I even swept out my garage.

[supremely magnificent cleaner emoticon]

slubber trouble is when every one comes home. i dont want to let them in.
stand at window with door locked flicking V's.

think i should suggest they go to mil for tea.
shit no, then they will come home and use my clean bath.

dagnamit.

well I've started.

Then DD3 (4 months) needed fed so I sat down...

filthymindedvixen · 07/01/2008 11:39

did a load yesterday but boys are still here so now my tidy-for-the-first-time-in-3-weeks-living-room is now disappeared under a pile of den-making stuff.

La-la-las, can't see it from here

Slubberdegullion · 07/01/2008 11:41

I know exactly what you mean deeny. I had a large Monica moment on New Years Eve. I was had a big party, the DC were at a friends, DH was at work.....and my house looked so nice. All clean, and twinkling Christmas lights, and little bowls of nibbles laid out in attractive clumps about the place. I even lined the champagne flutes up. I walked about adjusting cushions and suddenly had a strong desire that no one should turn up and mess it all up with their very presence (let alone eating the nibbles).

Of course within 10 mins of people arriving the place was a tip. Coats slung haphazardly about, children upturning the bowls of nibbles, flutes out of alignment. I retreated to the loo to compose myself and make a mental note that I have tidyness/control issues.

Slubberdegullion · 07/01/2008 11:47

'I was had' ...did I really just type that....dear oh dear...cilit bang fumes OD.

deenymcqueenygoreandguts · 07/01/2008 11:55

I did that on Friday, and yesterday, and it was lovely lovely - I was so happy when I walked on the clean, clear carpets this morning

nannyL · 07/01/2008 13:14

i ahve spent the entire morning cleaning as well

but now my hole entire house it spotless, havinf hoovered / washed every floor / dusted every room / cleaned bathroom and kitchen top to bottom etc, and put all the xmas stuff in the loft

GrapefruitMoon · 07/01/2008 14:04

I did mine at the weekend because I was having a party (well, did the downstairs anyway). So now I can relax tomorrow (and maybe go shopping) once the dc's are back at school!
