Fairy pods - why do they stick to the washer door?

Did anyone find an answer to this? It happens to mine too, I have a Samsung washing machine, it would be interesting to see if it's just Samsung washing machines that does this.

If i use a pod I put it in one of the mesh lingerie bags and put it in first before the clothes go in
