ruby sorry can't help my middle name is spineless when it comes to dd & toys etc

BiancaCastafiore · 07/01/2008 15:30

I'm terrible at throwing out the baby toys too Ruby - my excuse is the hope that number 3 may be allowed to come along one day... I do try to clear out though and just keep the real favourites in the cupboard under the stairs ready for visitors with littlies top play with.

EHM Nice to have you back Good luck with that list

FGS yay for your dd, it must be relief to know she's happy with the childminder

everyone else sorry, my kids have been squabbling so loudly while I've been typing this post I've forgotten what I was going to say sorry!

BiancaCastafiore · 07/01/2008 15:37

AAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaagggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! My children are driving me CRAZY today

Any tips on what the hell to do with two tired argumentative children for the last couple of hours of the afternoon?

DontDreamItBeIt · 07/01/2008 16:21

TV?

I've been playing catch up all day afer my late start.

I am getting to be quite ruhless when i comes o getting rid of toys. I have one of dd1s first baby toys and will keep a few more, but ds is already outgrowing most of his, and I'm happy to get rid.

Tortoise - I posted your parcel today. The other two still need to be wrapped, but hopefully will get them done tomorrow.

Afternoon All

Ed is home, his wheel is turning but the hamster appears to have left some time ago. He said he enjoyed it and he ate everything in his lunchbox. The walk home was s - l - o - w so I think he's shattered. His tea is ready to do when he's ready, He's watching Peter Pan and so long as he's happy I won't push things.

I didn't have time to fret tho. I've been working all day! Luckily it was in the children's centre attatched to the school so that worked out really well. I'm going to save my wages for family things, trips out, activities and the holiday. I'm going to get a mini greenhouse for Ed's veggies for this year I think.

Oh I'm rambling, sorry.

Anyway what I was going to do today I'll do tomorrow. Or I'll catch up soon. I have made a control journal and have a stack of post its stuck to it. I'll have to do a load of print outs of my routines and keep a handle on the housework

Anyway DONE so far

Up and washed
Dressed to DM boots
Ed Up and washed
Make Ed's bed and draw curtains
Check diary and to do notes
Make breakfast
Empty DW
Put away
Eat Breakfast
Tidy away
Keep sink shining
Pack Ed's bag
Help Ed dress
Take Ed to school
Home, Take call from work Back to school
Do Creche
Go to shop to get DH's anniversary card (13 years
Home
Handle mail
Have lunch
Tidy up Knex
Vac front room
Back to Children's cCentre
Do Creche
Collect Ed
Change Ed from uniform
Make cuppas

TO DO

Complete Control Journal
Make Ed's tea
Bedtime routine

Better crack on

Oh Hello EHM good to see you again
Thinking of you TMH

BiancaCastafiore · 07/01/2008 16:32

They can't agree on which TV to watch - ds like Cbeebies, dd now won't watch anything other than Cbbc...I can't be bothered with the pair of them today They tipped a HUGE box of lego all over the playroom then danced in it so they've been well occupied clearing it all up for the past 15 minutes lol!

Supper is going to be early this eve (very uninspired jacket potatoes), then bath, hair wash and an early night ready for school tomorrow. I still need to find the school bags let alone re-pack them

Feeling a bit tearful and emotional about the whole school full-time thing - really shouldn't, have been here before when ds went part-time in Sept....just wish the 3rd baby discussions had worked out

Glad Ed had a good first day Grouchy I'll try to email you again later if I can muster up the energy to do anything other than slob on the sofa once the kids are in bed!

FunkyGlassSlipper · 07/01/2008 16:40

Ruby

Throw out those toys......

Just think of the extra room for more new and exciting ones...

EHM · 07/01/2008 18:02

Dontdreamitbeit love the name change, where did the inspiration come from?
grouchy glad Ed's first day went well.
bianca sorry to read you still feel about 3rd baby. Just think how stressed you would be if there where 3 lo's fighting over the TV.Also you will now have extra time for you, or for you & dh.Hope ds's first full day at school goes as well as Ed's.
quickly to everybody who has posted & who will follow this evening.

Making slow but satisfying progress with my hugh list.Having MN time whilst Ellie eats her tea. Then bath & bed for Miss E, DH will be late tonight as he is in France today with work. Thankfully he took the correct passport today for his Eurostar trip, but forgot his mobile

BiancaCastafiore · 07/01/2008 18:13

Very true EHM, no way I'd have the energy to deal with 3 which is in part dhs arguement against it. The two of them did improve and had a good squabble free supper.

Dh is home now and watching them in the bath while I've emptied out half the contents of the utility room looking for a lost Christmas present - finally found it in the ironing basket (it wasn't clothes...) That room needs serious attention. I did the storage boxes last month but now need to sort through the big cupboards and the craft kits. We get given craft stuff all the time and dd loves it but in reality we don't get a whole lot of time to use it all these dayys with school, after school clubs etc.

I'm working tomorrow and helping at school on Weds but my mission for Thursday is to spend a decent amount of time in the utility room - do not let me forget!

TheMadHouse · 07/01/2008 18:14

Evening all

go glad that the first day went OK, good idea re the money
ehm welcome back
Ruby just give them to charity
FGS DD Yah go girl
Bianca Sorry you are I kept everything in the loft for number 3 and then we had a m/c (dd was 21 Jan), couldnt go theough that again, so although we would love more, until you can buy them as ASDA - its a not for me and slowly I am giving bots away and to charlity.

I have had my test and collected the boys and had tea, they are bathed and all ready for bed now. Results in a months time. I have a 50/50 chance.

DH has to go out tonight as he is treasurer of Bro and SIL Club, but hands it all over tonight (he only did it as a favour and business and family do not mix, aspecially when you have a lasy bro).

I am hoping to crack on with the ironing when he goes and the boys are in bed and then a bath for me.

BiancaCastafiore · 07/01/2008 18:18

Glad the tests are done TMH - is it just bloods they take? Hope the months wait goes quickly for you x I think you are extremely brave to have gone for these tests, you have my greatest admiration. I still need to find the courage from somewhere to even inquire about them....

EHM - Welcome back - The name is my New Year Rocky Horror tribute, but I really like i so it s staying for a while.

I've sorted clothes to post, just need to wrap them.

DontDreamItBeIt · 07/01/2008 19:24

GrouchyOscar - glad ds'first day went well. It is amazing how much more tiring school is compared to nursery. I had to bring in a 4pm tea time to keep mine awake after school when hey were little.
I save all my wages (pocket money really for a couple of hours cleaning and baking aweek) n a money tin, which I can't ope unless I use a tin opener. I'm planning on keeping it til either the summer holidays, for outings, or next Christmas if I can leave it.

Hello everyone not managing to keep up with threads but have today taken my new dryer into the house and done a load of drying. Have also cooked dinner and am now clearing up. I am going to tidy the house and put another wash on and then collapse. I am knackered though.

TheMadHouse · 07/01/2008 20:12

Thank you for all the support. Bianca What is it that runs in your family - having a postive test means I can take preventative action and unfortunaly the risk is extreamly high. We were very lucky as the International Centre for life is in Newcastle and thats were my aunty lives.

One of my cousins see the consultants about her operations (breasts and ovaries) next week.

I have managed to do all the ironong, put the horrors to bed, then do all the ironong and am just having a cuppa before a bath and then bed for me.

Fist day on my own with out DH propper since Christmas really tomorrow - pants

BiancaCastafiore · 07/01/2008 20:33

Breast cancer and cancer of the womb (?) Both my maternal Grandmother and my mother were diagnosed in their mid 30's and had died before age 45 I feel quite panicky as I approach my mid 30s...
What is involved in the tests etc (we can do this off-board if you'd prefer, via email...)

Bewilderbeast · 07/01/2008 20:34
