Irritant fluid on clothing

DH has a drawer full of supplies for his cycling. Today a bottle of cleaning fluid has leaked in the drawer and dripped into the drawer below. The drawer below contained brand new clothes for DS (20mo) which are waiting for him to grow into. The fluid has a load of warnings on it about containing irritants. I have washed them on an intensive cycle but I am pretty sure I can still smell it. I’ve just put them on for a second wash.

The smartest thing is to throw them isn’t it? I’ll never really know if I have got it all out. A couple of bits we picked up in a sale yesterday and the rest he was given for Christmas. It just feels such a waste but I also don’t want it take any risks. I am not entirely sure what advice I am looking for, I guess I was wondering if there is any better suggestion than an intensive wash?

If it's a water soluble cleaning solution, it should come out in the machine.
If its oil based, I'd be more wary.

Super helpful thanks. Not particularly clear from the bottle unfortunate but I’ll see if I can find out more.
