Coca cola Vs limescale

Does it work? Have seen claims that pouring a bottle of full fat Coke down the toilet and leaving overnight can sort out limescale. Is it true? I tried bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar, only partially successful. We have very hard water and the loo is grim.

I haven't tried coke, citric acid is good at getting limescale off and it doesn't smell like vinegar! Can buy smaller packets of it at the chemist, or larger boxes at Wilkos.

There is also something called Spirits of Salt which is supposed to shift anything but it's hydrochloric acid and needs plenty of ventilation! I've not tried it, but people who have say it worked (hardly surprising). I'd try the citric acid first!

Works great, buy supermarket own brand. Mix with cornflour to make a paste for areas higher
