How to organise bins/recycling

I am moving house and currently have three bins (general waste, cardboard, bottles).
They take up a lot of space and I’m wondering what others do if there’s a better way. I don’t want the recycling left on the counter top and so the three bins keeps it fairly tidy but still not ideal. Any recommendations

I have something a bit like this (ikea kitchen). I keep the food waste bin under the sink and it all works really well. For normal rubbish just have a standard bin as usual.

I quite literally will put any recycling by the backdoor and as soon as the door is open, whoever walks through is expected to take to the bin. I'd rather use the space for soemthing worthwhile!

We use a bag for life for recycling and keep it in the garage, which you can access from the kitchen.

I have an IKEA Kallax unit (just one cube) in the kitchen with a basket in it. Paper, card, bottles and cans go in and it’s emptied into the right bin outside during a fair break in the Mancunian rain. Normal kitchen bin for non recycling and a caddy for green waste.

Two semi circular bins back to back, one for rubbish, one for recycling (card, plastic). Bottles go in the box outside.
