How and where do you store all your kid's games?

Ds got about 10 great board games for christmas. Now I need to figure out where to put them. If I put them in his bedroom (he's 4.5 btw) I worry that when he has friends round he'll tip the lot out on the floor, lose bits and crush the boxes (big pet hate of mine).

So do I store them where he has to ask me to get them down, or do I get over it and chill out?

What do you do with yours?

We have the IKEA Trofast system for toy staorage, in the playroom (used to be known as a dining room but kids and eating in rooms with carpets in a rented house.... no-no!). Seems to be working brilliantly atm. Lego is stored in their rooms in a big plastic toy tub, with instructions for kits in a palstic file, boxes binned.

The one splayed with most are on a shelf on the big bookcase in her playroom. The rest in a big plastic box under the desk.

I keep mine on a shelving unit under the stairs and they know that they are only allowed one game out at a time even when friends are in. The rest of their toys are kept in their bedrooms.
