how long does plastering take to dry?

we are having the bathroom plastered some point next month, and i want to know how long it will take before bathroom is useable again for showers, baths etc. i have decided i can cope with about 10 days wahing in sink before i'd go a bit mad, does anybody know? thanksss

I would have thought you could have baths fairly quickly afterwards as long as you were careful not to splash too much! in terms of the plaster being dry enough to paint/tile over, it should only take a few days (though if you are tiling around the bath do you need to redo the plaster
underneath?)

DH is plasterer

He says if the plaster is around the shower, you should really tile it/paint it before you shower.

Takes a good week to dry out.
