Help! Ruined microfiber cloths

by inadvertently adding conditioner to the wash. Now they're all sticky and don't wipe properly. The one that used to clean mirrors brilliantly leaves a residue. Gutted.

Is there a way of fixing them? Should I buy new cloths? In researching potential sizes I've seen microfibre is environmentally unsound. Are there better types that do the job as well? Thanks.

Just chuck them in a hot wash with normal washing powder/liquid. That should remove any residue

Strip wash them in white vinegar and hang out in the rain.

You are right that they are not great for the environment. I have some and feel guilty using them as they shed tiny bits of plastic.
