I have the muji broom & its v soft. Going strong at age 12 :)

I have a vileda broom and it's significantly better than the cheap Tesco one I had before.

A few years back I fell into a broom rabbit hole and the consensus was that German horse hair brooms are excellent. I never did buy one so can’t give personal experience but something you could look into.

Can't you just vacuum up dropped cornflakes etc.?
