Product to use on laminate with steam mop?

Hi MNers. I currently have laminate flooring downstairs in my house (loo, lounge, dining room, kitchen, utility - laminate EVERYWHERE). It was put down by the previous owners and I suspect it's pretty cheap laminate, which isn't high on my list to replace.

And so my question is this - what product can I put in my steam mop that will leave my laminate shiny and clean, rather than dull/sticky/gritty?

I’m no expert in this area but when I was looking at steam mops a lot said don’t use on laminate floors! Check carefully, OP!!

You don’t need to use product with a steam mop - the whole point is the steam cleans and sanitizes without the use of chemicals

I wouldn’t use a steam mop with cheap laminate it’ll make the edges curl and lift. I use a micro fibre broom thing with a built in spray. Method wood cleaner for floors. Smells lovely and isn’t sticky or gritty.

I wouldn’t use a steamer. It’ll probably knacker your floor

Sounds like the microfibre broom with spray is the way to go instead. The surface of the kitchen/utility flooring isn't smooth - I think it's supposed to look and feel like tiles - and I just feel like it's never properly clean

Not a steamer! I use a rubber brush to get all dust and crumbs up then alternate between using a proper mop and bucket with flash disinfectant in or using a micro fibre mop with the method spray.

Method floor squirts cleaner and a spray mop does a great job on laminate.

I use methylated spirit to mop my floor. Clean and not slippery.
